Cincinnati Milacron brand returns to market (March 18, 2004)

Milacron Inc. has returned to the Cincinnati Milacron brand name for injection molding machines produced at the Batavia, OH plant. The announcement coincides with the company’s recent acquisition of over $200 million in financing to service its debt and improve liquidity.
"Most of our North American customers still refer to their machines as Cincinnatis," said Karlheinz Bourdon, Milacron vice president for machinery technologies. "The gravitational pull to bring the name back has been strong. Cincinnati Milacron was our original brand for plastics molding machines. With our new financing in place, the rebirth of the Cincinnati Milacron brand name is our way of marking this fresh start."
Milacron now has five injection molding machine brands, with Cincinnati Milacron joining Ferromatik Milacron Europe, Milacron Fanuc, Autojectors and Ferromatik Milacron India.
