Troy, Mich.-based Incoe Corp. and Beaumont Technologies Inc.(BTI), a provider of mold and process optimization techologies, have decided to continue their research and development (R&D) partnership to further develop melt management technology for hot runner systems, the companies announced in late July.
Incoe, a designer and manufacturer of hot runner systems, is the only global supplier of BTI’s MeltFlipper melt rotation technology for hot runner systems, which is sold under the name Opti-flo.
Under the new agreement, the Erie, Pa.-based BTI becomes an extension of Incoe’s R&D team, which BTI says will enable it to further understand shear effects on injection molded products with the end goal of improving the performance of its hot runner systems, BTI said.
