Battenfeld-Cincinnati bought by investment group Nimbus

Germany-based extrusion equipment maker Battenfeld-Cincinnati Group has been purchased by European investment group Industrie Holding Nimbus.

The terms of the deal have not been disclosed.

In a statement, Battenfeld-Cincinnati said the deal will provide it with “new financial resources and equity capital”.

“After our successful organizational restructuring in the middle of last year, we can now focus on further product developments and investments that will strengthen and expand our market leadership with Nimbus’ support,” said Battenfeld-Cincinnati CEO Gerold Schley. “We are delighted to have a new investor in Nimbus that will actively support and advance [our] new developments and growth plans”.

Headquartered in Bad Oeynhausen, Germany, Battenfeld-Cincinnati also has production facilities in Austria, China, and the U.S.

Nimbus has offices in Zeist, The Netherlands, and Munich, Germany.
