In a move to better support its customers in the automotive sector, hot runner systems supplier Synventive Molding Solutions will be opening a new service centre in Windsor, Ont.

The centre, which will open on April 1, will have “substantial in-house machining capabilities, including, but not limited to, lathes, milling machines and select mold trial capabilities for their flow control technologies,” the company said. “Synventive machinists and service engineers will staff this new office. Additionally, the operation will stock a wide range of parts to enhance their already excellent level of support for local customers.”

The new office will also enhance Synventive’s existing sales and service office in Livonia, Mich., the company added, by localizing support for the many tool shops that exist in the Windsor area.

“Business has been expanding for Synventive significantly in this region, and it is imperative to us as a company to continue offering world class service and support to all of our customers,” said Steven Gayfer, vice president and general manager of Synventive North America. “The U.S. automotive industry is experiencing steady growth, and…we are increasing our presence in the Windsor area so we can help them continue to succeed.”
